There are no shortcuts for long-lasting healing…
But patience is required, as your nervous system has been used to having self protective patterns for many years. Your psyche has fragmented because of extreme stress and defensive accommodations were formed to help you cope with life…
We all want to feel better quickly, and this has been overemphasised in the last few decades by the multimillion self help and coaching industry. I fell for the quick fix traps many times myself.
But this is not real life. There is a process, an “unwinding” of long-term unhelpful patterns that takes place.
We are happy to go to university for at least 3 years, or more, to study a subject or learn a skill, yet when it comes to healing we want miraculous results in 2 or 3 sessions or by investing in quick coaching programs.
Please don’t get me wrong, I believe in miracles. And when they happen in my practice I surely know they didn’t come from me. I’m not a healer. I’m a professional who can be used by God to help you.
Plus don’t forget that your body was created to self-heal. It has innate intelligence and with the right support it can begin to heal and reorganise.
But patience is required. Your nervous system has been used to having self protective patterns for decades. Your psyche has fragmented because of extreme stress and defensive accommodations were formed to help you cope with life.
It takes time to undo these patterns.
It takes time for you to reconnect with yourself. To learn how to feel safe in your own body. To trust in your body signals.
Healing is totally possible, but it’s important to remember that healing is non-linear and there are no quick fixes when it comes to true long-lasting healing.
