Trauma constricts your authentic self

Trauma is not what happened to you. It’s what happens inside of you as a result of an external situation.

Trauma keeps the person stuck in an internal loop, of past experiences. It’s not the event itself, but how the nervous system reacted to the event and internalised the reaction, playing it on repeat. The incomplete responses remain “frozen” in your body/mind system in a self protective loop.

Many of us have developed defensive accommodations because of difficult experiences we had to go through without the support of other humans. These coping mechanisms later become strong patterns and traits. And we keep reinforcing these, producing strong neural pathways and unhealthy habits.

This “trauma vortex” creates lack of flow in your nervous system. With these patterns in place your body/mind won’t be able to respond to life authentically.

But do not despair.
Where there is trauma there is a natural inner drive for resolution.

You can start the healing work now.
It’s never too late.

The body/mind system is cleverly designed, as it already contains innate resources to heal itself.
