Trying to fix yourself can be a trauma response, but it is also part of the flow of trauma resolution
We all know that checking the body for what’s wrong. Fixating on self diagnosing. Overthinking emotions. Controlling diet and supplements with rigidity can be indeed a sign of trauma response that keep our nervous system in a state of hyper vigilance.
And of course, with a history of trauma you are more likely to be on the lookout for the unsafe. Waiting for the other shoe to drop.
BUT
It’s also worth noting that trauma is looking for resolution within you. So instead of thinking you need to stop wanting to feel better as this is a trauma response, adding to yourself another Insta self diagnosis label.
Tap yourself on the back for not giving up. For believing that healing is possible. For trusting your body’s ability to self heal.
