Understanding yourself on a somatic level
We humans are so used to try and understand ourselves and our issues cognitively. There is nothing wrong with it. We need cognition.
BUT
Nothing compares to a full body/mind realisation of why we respond and move through life in certain ways.
It’s when things make sense on a somatic level that we truly join the dots. The aha moments are mind blowing because we finally get it!
We get it why we do xyz, why we feel a certain way when we see certain people and encounter certain situations.
The insights don’t come from figuring out or mindset work, but from memories we hold in the body. Our bodies hold memory for everything we have been through. Even in utero memories. From accessing and reorganising these deep seated memories is how/when long lasting embodied change takes place naturally.
I know writing about it doesn’t do it justice.
It’s an experiential approach.
