๐ธ Long breathwork sessions
๐ธ Coffee and other stimulant drinks
These tools are not harmful or intrinsically wrong.
But if the nervous system is already in a state of overwhelm (for instance, if you experience chronic symptoms) adding substances and/or tools that can increase the bodyโs response to stress; will more likely take you into deep dorsal vagal activity(deeper layers of freeze).
This is the reason why you might feel good for awhile after using such tools/substances, but then experience a โcrashโ soon after.
Too much stimulation = increase in the level of overwhelm.
There will be periods in your healing journey that you will be moving towards being gentler, so that you can heal deeper layers of survival stress.
