Your body was not designed to live in a state of hyper vigilance
In hyper vigilance your body is permanently with the red lights on.
Your basic bodily functions are negatively affected and your mental health is equally affected.
For instance, a person who is mostly in fight/flight will feel anxious most of the time and will often overthink and stress about the smallest things.
Conversely, a person who is more in a freeze or shutdown state will often feel low in energy, hopeless and depressed.
But fear not! Somatic healing “work” can help you shift your system towards homeostasis, bringing a feeling of safety and more ease to everything you do in life. Not to mention the wonderful improvements in physical health.
