Characteristics of a felt sense of safety

Trauma resolution, identity integration and nervous system regulation work have so many benefits! I sometimes have to pinch myself when I see some huge results with clients.

Here is a short list of what it means to feel safe in your body.

If you have embodied some of this work yourself, feel free to add to this list in the comments. โ˜บ๏ธ

๐ŸŒฟ Feeling comfortable in your own skin.

๐ŸŒฟ Easier to identify personal limits and acting accordingly on it, without feeling guilty.

๐ŸŒฟ Triggers decrease in frequency and intensity and some triggers can completely go away.

๐ŸŒฟ Can more naturally say no when things feel off.

๐ŸŒฟ Less rigidity and more flexibility.

๐ŸŒฟ Greater sense of ease, less need to push or force.

๐ŸŒฟ Sense of self without emotional enmeshments.

๐ŸŒฟ More thought patterns of calm and ease.

๐ŸŒฟ Stronger sense of autonomy.

๐ŸŒฟ More playfulness and joy.

๐ŸŒฟ More authenticity, vulnerability and honesty in your relationships

๐ŸŒฟ More capacity to take on bigger tasks and bigger healthy risks.

The body is always looking for homeostasis. Once this state is shown through co-regulation, in a skilled way, it โ€œdrinksโ€ it fully and it knows how to come back to it again and again.

This work brings your body back into its natural flow.
