Safety comes first in your healing journey

The autonomic nervous system is an intervening variable for well being.

This means that nervous system regulation won’t solve all your problems. Or that you will magically stop experiencing difficult emotions once there is more regulation.

A regulated nervous system:

🔸Gives you a chance to pause before reacting.

🔸Promotes a feeling of safety. Then your body, mind and emotions can finally take a break from survival physiology, starting to operate from a place of more wholeness and connection.

🔸Gives you the conditions to concentrate while doing cognitive work.

🔸Allows your basic physiological functions such as; heart rate, digestion and blood pressure to occur in homeostasis; instead of under “threat physiology” (which keeps your body in survival mode, operating under a lot of pressure).

Once the nervous system is more regulated emotional deeper healing can take place.

There is no deeper healing without nervous system regulation.

With regulation you can also be more productive, more loving and serve in ways you have never served before.

As the feeling of safety is more present and capacity in your nervous system builds, the ability to being more present with others around you also increase.

Safety is key.

When your body is operating in “threat physiology” it’s like you are constantly living in the middle of a battlefield. The only focus is survival and the rest of life takes a backseat.
